Ecopha Biotech has unveiled a bilateral strategy leveraging Pongamia tree cultivation in Australia and India to secure sustainable carbon feedstocks for scaling its PHA bioplastic production.

Ecopha Biotech and design partner Terra Sol Studio secured the 2025 InnovationAus Energy & Renewables Award for their groundbreaking carbon-negative PHA bioplastics, which are fully home-compostable and marine biodegradable, offering a scalable alternative to petroleum-based plastics.
