Medical product recalls due to sterile barrier breach are commonly connected to packaging seal failures, pin holes, and contamination. Amcor’s new state-of-the-art vision systems inspect 100 percent of the bags produced, including film-to-film and film-to-Tyvek® seals, delivering exceptional confidence in package quality. Production data is serialized to individual bags, providing full manufacturing traceability from raw material to finished package.
As part of Amcor’s broad global healthcare packaging network, the Mundelein facility delivers robust vertical integration with full control of its blown film, printing, laminating, slitting, and converting processes.
