The PLASTICS Industry Association has announced the winners of its 2026 Plastic Sustainability Innovation Award competition, recognizing breakthrough technologies that advance the sustainability of plastics.
e-P4HV: High Performance Meets Biodegradability
e-P4HV was recognized for expanding the capabilities of bioplastics by combining high performance with designed biodegradability. The material features a new electricity-driven pathway from biomass, opening applications where functionality and end-of-life must work together.
Competition Opens in June 2026
PLASTICS member companies interested in submitting innovations for consideration in the 2026 Innovation in Bioplastics Award competition can look forward to the opening of the submission window in June 2026.
