Granulous Launches EU-Co-Funded Development Project for Sustainable Agricultural Materials

Granulous, committed to transforming how natural materials replace fossil-based materials, has launched a development project that takes this mission to the next level. The project focuses on maximizing the potential of existing bio-based material and targeting its application toward precisely defined agri-markets. This project is co-funded by the EU.

The project’s main objective is to develop a nutrient-containing material that directly addresses the needs of the agricultural sector. By enhancing the nutrient profile and optimizing the release characteristics, this new solution aims to provide measurable benefits to soil health, crop growth, and long-term sustainability in farming practices.

In parallel, Granulous is also initiating the development of a proprietary, cost-effective polymer solution. This step represents a strategic move toward achieving a strong competitive advantage in the commercial utilization of bio-based materials — helping deliver high-performance, compostable alternatives that meet both economic and environmental demands.

This project is an essential part of Granulous’s long-term vision to expand into international markets with innovative material technologies. The outcomes of this work will not only drive business growth but also strengthen global competitiveness as a pioneer in sustainable material developments.

Granulous believes that innovation in materials can play a crucial role in shaping the future of farming — making it smarter, cleaner, and more regenerative.
